Message the landlord in the app. The exact address is shared once they accept your enquiry.

  4. View in person

Go and see it before you sign or pay anything. Every time.

FAQ

Questions

Is GaffSwipe free?

Yes, for students. Landlords don't pay to list either. We charge them a 5% commission only when a let is agreed through the app.

Where does it work?

We're launching in Manchester first, then expanding to more cities in England. Listings in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland come later, because the rental law is different there.

Do I pay my deposit or rent through GaffSwipe?

No, never. We don't handle deposits, holding fees or rent. If anyone asks you to pay through GaffSwipe, it's a scam. Please report it.

Why can't I see the exact address?

To protect landlords and current tenants, listings show an approximate area. The exact address is shared once a landlord accepts your enquiry.

Is there a website version?

No. GaffSwipe is an iPhone and Android app only. This website is just information about the app.

Who can use it?

Anyone aged 18 or over. Students can get a Verified Student badge with a university email address.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Profile → Privacy → Delete account. It's permanent, and we explain what happens to your data in our privacy policy.
